The "Officer in Need Housing Program” was originated by Tom Ellis at Prosperity Mortgage to assist Police Officers in obtaining home ownership. Over the last 2 years, the Officer in Need Program has assisted over 80 Police Officers with home ownership.

When a Police Officer applies with us through our housing program, the officer receives discounted mortgage fees along with settlements fees. In almost all cases, the officer receives up to $750 in discounted fees.

The program has three key concepts:

• The officer receives exemplary service at all ends of the transaction.

• The officer receives financial assistance in their transaction.

• The “sponsoring police organization” receives a donation from Long & Foster to further their assistance to their members in key areas (education, survivors issues, on the job accidents and injuries…etc).
